TECO AMERICAS - The FireBag®
TECO AMERICAS - The FireBag® is a Thermal-activated Gas Shut-off Device that automatically stops the flow of gas in a fire. When activated, the FireBag® stops feeding gas to the flames and the helps prevent the spread of fire. The FireBag® is activated when the external temperature of the Firebag® reaches 203-212°F (95-100°C). Internally, the metal alloy that keeps the plug and cartridge together melts, allowing spring pressure to plug and completely close the device. No instrumentation or detectors are required to automatically stop the flow of gas. Meets or exceeds DIN 3586 thermo activated safety device and UNI EN 1775 standards for indoor gas installations.
The Teco FireBag® automatically turns off gas supply in the event of fire, preventing explosions and the spreading of fire. When outside temperature reaches 203°F to 212°F (95°C to 100°C) the metal alloy that keeps the plug and cartridge together melts and the spring pressure pushes the plug against the gas opening to close it completely. No fire or heat detectors are required to automatically intercept gas flow. Please see the available options for these thermal-activated shut-off devices for use with natural gas, propane, and butane.
